Welcome to Show #4!

Interview: Patricia Tallman (”Lyta Alexander”).
Pat talks with us about a vast array of topics, including her days as B5’s resident telepath, her time adapting to Walter Koenig’s pranks, Lyta’s relationship with G’Kar, being recognized because of B5, and more. She also shares with us fond memories of the late great Andreas Katsulas.
Then, Tim and Summer begin a long discussion about “The Gathering” (Pilot). One long enough that it has “to be continued”, and we end up with another heartfelt honoring of Andreas’ impact on the show and our hearts.

Our good friends over at SFFAudio.com are reporting that J. Michael Straczynski has finally begun production on a radio drama for the Canadian airwaves, “The Adventures of Apocalypse Al”.
More details can be found here.
This week, we talk with Bear Burge, master prop fabricator.

Bear tells us all about creating the small details that that go far in creating the illusions that are essential for a good scifi show, and relates some tales about making some of his favorite props.
Tim and Summer also discuss “Midnight on the Firing Line” (Season 1, Episode 1).

It was mentioned in comments, but does deserve more of a tribute than a mention.
Andreas Katsulas, the actor who brought G’Kar to life through both deliberate actions and memorable words, died from lung cancer on the morning of February 13.

His performance as G’Kar was nuanced and masterful, as we saw that character grow from being selfish and bitter to one who literally embodied the heart of the station’s purpose, and everything that those who wanted peace imagined it could be.
Most of G’Kar’s heart came from Andreas’ talents as an actor. He will be missed.
The next show to go out was recorded well before this happened, but we will talk about it for the following show.
update: There are online tributes to Andreas, at Pat Tallman’s and Jeffrey Willerth’s Galactic Gateway, and over at Bill Mumy’s website. Pat has also created a way for fans to submit notes of condolences and well-wishes for Andreas’ family over at the Galactic Gateway forums. There’s a thread specifically for those thoughts, which she will print out and take to his family at the memorial service a few weeks from now.

Okay, here’s the deal.
Jeffrey Willerth is in Phoenix for a couple of days, and he and I, along with Michael and Lorrie Mennenga, recorded what could be another Babylon Podcast episode.
Key phrase: “could be”.
It started out as a discussion/chat session, but since there was a bit of beer and tequila involved, the last 15-20 minutes or so kinda evolved into a minor league Wingin’ It episode.
So, is that tangentially non-B5 talk something you guys want to hear, or should we just keep it in the can?
Welcome to Show #2!
Interview: Stephen Furst (”Vir Cotto”)
Stephen talks to us about his days acting on and directing for Babylon 5, and discusses some of his other projects for television, and about his Kidney Talk show for the Renal Support Network.
Tim, Summer and Jeff talk about their favorite B5 seasons, and touch on the themes and how they impacted the way we viewed them.

Welcome to Show #1!
Call it a slightly longer intro show, where the three of us tell you a little bit about ourselves. Tim and I get into some of the reasons why Babylon 5 drew us in and kept us hooked, while Jeffrey tells us about some of the guests you can expect to hear us chatting with in future shows.
