Takei weds, Psi Corps sends representative
Listener Robert Shimbo sent the Babcast a link to a news article about George Takei’s wedding. What’s interesting is the photo. It shows Takei, his partner Brad Altman, Nichelle Nichols, and Walter Koenig. Everyone is making the Vulcan hand salute – except for Mr. Koenig, who – well, take a look at the picture.
I wonder if Mr. Koenig had us Lurkers in mind.

Obviously Walter is showing his defiance to JMS’s recent announcement.
Or his defiance at being pigeonholed for one particular role.
Or Walter Knows something that we don’t.
I find the background especially ironic in light of the gesture he making…

Until I saw “Mr. Bester” show up on B5, I thought Walter was the average pigeon-holed sci-fi actor. Whoah, was I wrong. Bester’s character arc (as all of the others) was one of the most satisfying things I ever witnessed in a tv show.
