Boy, I’ve had jokes tank before, but I think that “Z’ha;dum was an inside job” crack fell hard enough to leave a crater.

  2. Warlord2k says:

Mmmmm, if u read the technomage triology, u’ll see it was an inside job.. IF ur refering to the white star and stuff? ;)

  3. Gary The Great says:

I still don’t know if I’d call it an inside job, but he definitely had help.

Of course(!) I have to reply to you, Tim. (Thanks for mentioning me, though–I like that part a lot. ;) ) You really cannot let that pink wall go, mm? It bothers you THIS much? I understand what you are saying in regards to Londo, but the point remains the same–he can see how he dies, he even says to someone that the moment he saw G’Kar–he -knew- that it will be G’Kar’s hands squeezing the life out of him. He “just knew” and we -accept- that. I do realize that a chalk line on the floor with a follow-up of chanting and spreading smoke is NOT a good enough argument in a Sci-Fi series to explain physical transportation of a part of the station seventy light-years away–and I’ll give you THAT-but -I- don’t really need any “scientific” explanation for this “effect”, specifically because this episode was NOT about science. For me, it was kind of like Sheridan “disappearing” … wherever, when Lorien returns for him. There is NO scientific explanation to this–just non. Why doesn’t THAT scene bother you as much? In conclusion–yes, yes, yes, completely agree with Summer. Let’s have a show discussing -just- that. I’d even go as far as attempt getting onto Skype with you, guys, if you’ll be able to tolerate my horrible thick accent. ;)

About Vorlons seeming “angelic” and “culture-localized” to everyone at once, accept for Londo… this is how I understood this whole thing. Londo couldn’t see anything because he was touched by Shadows. In fact, in that scene Londo was -physically- i this shadowy cloak that, I think, was supposed to relay to us the reason of why he was the only one who didn’t see anything. As for everyone else who saw, each their own image of whatever stands for “angels” in their culture–if you’ll recall, Kosh was very tired after this little performance, explaining the tiredness with having to “uphold” multiple images at once. -This- suggested to me that initially Vorlons did pick a very specific image to project and for it to be more accepted chose that image to be that of whatever stood for “pure, good and holy” in that culture. How far back would they have to go with humans? Well. Let me just point out that the concept of angels (aka, -specifically- celestial beings with white wings who represent everything that is good) existed long, LONG before Christianity came into being.

  5. Neil Ottenstein says:

Yes, try to have Neil Gaiman on the show. At the moment he’s out of the country. Check out his journal page for loads of information:

I’m sure he could wax on B5 in general and Day of the Dead in particular for as long as you could want.
