Hey, if you want to check out the live video stream of this show, head on over to the Babylon Podcast UStream page!!

Deep Geeking: Tim, Summer and Jeffrey discuss many of the consquences and the subtexts in "Darkness Ascending".

We argue for quite a bit about the nature of Garibaldi's dream, how much was dream and how much was or wasn't influenced by Lyta's telepathic curiosity (and whether or not that itself was real or dream), and talk a bit more about Lennier and his mission, and of the telepath DNA deal between Lyta and G'Kar.

And yes, Summer really does want to know if Garibaldi's BFG-10000 survived production and is squirreled away somewhere, or if it was broken down and recycled after the episode was done.

Feedback: ...and the "Day of the Dead" theories continue! We will wear Tim down eventually, and make him one of us. We also take a trip down the voicemail rabbit hole and end up skirting the Star Trek universe along the way.

		<itunes:summary>Welcome to Show #141!

Yes, it's been awhile since we've had a new show... didja miss us? We hope this show makes up for that long break.

Jeffrey regales us with a Majel Barrett convention tale as we honor her memory (she passed away on December 18 2008 of leukemia).

Tim tells us about a new TV project that JMS is working on, and we all hope that a SAG strike doesn't happen to knock things awry.

Interview: It's the interview almost everyone has been waiting for. Ed Wasser joins us this week, and he tells us how he thinks that the attraction to Morden comes from the undeniable allure of the mystery and the appeal of the bad guy. We also talk about how he came to Babylon 5, and how his asking for a more dangerous part led to him getting the role of Morden, his fan club and convention visits, and more.

The depth and reach of Morden's plans definitely affects the entire series, even though he was only on screen for 13 episodes. It's a testament to the writing and the performances that major characters that only appear from time to time can have such a large impact on the overall series story arc.

But, did you also remember him being on Sliders?

Feedback: Jeffrey pushes the buttons and plays some voicemail for us! Gary thanks Brad for the musical Holiday Gifts that were posted to the site; Gary comments on JMS's remake of Forbidden Planet, and manages to bring in the Zima again.

We have no idea who the mystery caller is that is going to call us back, but she amused the hell outta Jeffrey. Really.

Mike G sent an email about Jeffery's listing on the Who's Dated Who? website. Why doesn't Jeffrey Willerth have any WDW fans?

Kate in Chicagoland gives us some suggestions on topics to cover on The Babylon Podcast after we've gone through all the official and unofficial materials, and James in Tallahassee tells us that he's made many Lego B5 ships, including EA ships, Narn, Centauri, Minbari and Brakiri ships. We wanna see pictures of them!

Visit Deep Geeking, and if you want to contribute a geeking essay, send a note to Summer.

Second Life Info: FarPoint Media's Second Life space is now the penthouse suite of Third Life Books. You can find the castle at http://slurl.com/secondlife/beraudes/203/151/49. Come see the castle roof pool, and more!

		<itunes:summary>Welcome to Show #39!

Interview: Peter Jurasik ("Ambassador Londo Mollari")

Jeffrey's back in sunny California after his search for snow came up a little short, but all travel pains are easily forgotten during our chat with Peter Jurasik.

Peter regales us with tales of auditioning for the role, of the evolution of the Centauri hair styling, the costuming and more. He also shares his memories of Andreas' performances as G'Kar, and the in-costume smoke breaks, and the fun he had in seeing Londo's prosthetic genitalia paraded around the set for comment and feedback.

Too bad he missed out on being able to take any memorabilia home after the show was done. He also talks about Being Londo Mollari, teaching theatre, about marrying Jeffrey and Patricia, and much much more.

It's not easy to come up with questions when you're laughing so hard!

Also, if you can find it in your hearts, please, help us find a cure for Jeffrey's puns.

Vote for us! Let's get this show's rank into The Pickle's Top 100!

Listener Feedback: Next, Tim and Summer discuss some listener emails: Gabriel ponders that the new Battlestar Galactica isn't really as deep as Babylon 5 in terms of character and story depth. Summer waves the flag in defense of BSG, as does Tim.

Shameless plug: yes, Summer contributed an essay to the essay collection, So Say We All: An Unauthorized Collection of Thoughts and Opinions on Battlestar Galactica, now available at your local bookstore and at Amazon.com.

She's also really hoping to convince the publisher to eventually do a collection on Babylon 5. If you'd be interested in buying one if they did do a B5 collection, let Summer know, either here in comments, or over in the Babylon Podcast forums.

We are still considering doing a separate B5 Fan Tales segment in the future, so send us those favorite anecdotes of yours.

Your feedback does matter, and is welcome! You can call us at 206-338-2259, or email us and tell us what you think... and likely hear it played or read on the show. Please try to keep the voicemail comments as brief as possible.

Tim and Summer welcome Jeffrey back from his travels, and continue beating the dead horse known as "Is Pluto a planet or not?" Summer comes down on the side of "the more planets in our solar system, the merrier", and Jeffrey thinks the bean counters are winning.

Next, Jeffrey, Tim and Summer talk with Patricia Tallman and John Radulovic about their memories of acclaimed actor Johnny Sekka, who portrayed Dr Benjamin Kyle in "The Gathering", and who passed away on September 14th. Pat talks about how it was to work with him on-screen, and John tells us more about working with him from a director's perspective, and later, Jeffrey touches on his memories of meeting him during conventions.

Vote for us! Let's get this show's rank into The Pickle's Top 100!

Listener Feedback: This week, we experiment with taking live callers with commentary on what we're discussing. Chris Patterson joins us from the lurkers in the chat room, and adds his impressions on the interaction between Kyle and Takashima, and how the threads that were seeded weren't able to be followed through during the series.

Remember, the feed goes live earlier than usual for recording on 10/4/2006, at 4pm Pacific. A more tradition feedback discussion will return next week.

Tim and Summer's episode discussion this week is about "Babylon Squared".

In "Babylon Squared", the return of the Babylon 4 station that mysteriously disappeared without a trace 4 years earlier creates more questions than it resolves, and in the process we begin to get a sense of the much larger picture surrounding the story arc so far.

And don't forget that most important of philosophical posits: Fasten, then zip?

Listener Feedback: First, Jeffrey tells us about his memories of Tim Choate, the actor who potrrayed Zathras so unforgettably. Next, Tim, Summer and Jeff address a few listener emails and comments: Tim reads an email from Jim with info on what happened to the first 3 stations; Scott submits links about Babylon 5 Cookbook recipes; and Mike comments on our opinions about the quality and content of "Voice in the Wilderness".

For voicemails, Alexis in Florida wants to know more about royalties and if the B5 cast will get more money from the resurgence of the show in new outlets; Jarsto from the Netherlands corrects us on which wife the dancer was, comments on the use of the Great Machine throughout the rest of the series, and wants to know how we view Londo's capacity for self-sacrifice.

Vote for us! Head over to Podcast Alley and vote for the show this month (and every month!)... Let's get this show's rank into the Top 100!

Your feedback does matter, and is welcome! You can call us at 206-338-2259, or email us and tell us what you think... and likely hear it played or read on the show. Please try to keep the voicemail comments as brief as possible.

Guest: Sandra Bruckner, ISN News

Tim and Summer find themselves flying without Jeffrey, and Sandra Bruckner joins them for a chat.

Sandra runs the indepth and informative online resource ISN News: The Zocalo Today, currently keeping Babylon 5 fans updated on where their favorite B5 cast and crew members can be found in current projects.

She tells us all about how she became involved with B5, starting from the hard copy fan letters through the news updates on the website today. Sandra also relates her times spent on the B5 sets over the years, covering B5 cast appearances at conventions, keeping track of the B5 fan club sales, being an extra in "Objects at Rest", and much, much more.

Next, Tim, Summer and Sandra engage in a roundtable discussion about where they feel Babylon 5 ranks all-time in SF television, past and present, and discuss how much B5 may have influenced current television projects.

Listener Feedback: Tim and Summer dive into emails: Susan puts forth a theory on how Marcus may have been a 30-year-old virgin; Chris tells us about the DVD for the Biggs/Carter Experience that used to be available from Pipetap Productions, the proceeds of which benefit Richard Biggs' children.

This week's voicemails include messages from Alejandro comments on "A Late Delivery from Avalon", and wants to know why Delenn was portrayed as the Lady of the Lake; Alan in Dublin sends in an almost unintelligible message thanking us for producing the show; Ed from NJ sends his appreciation for the production values of the show, and wants a comment on Jerry Doyle's pay-per-play podcast of his radio show.

Your feedback does matter, and is welcome! You can call us at 206-338-2259, or email us and tell us what you think... and likely hear it played or read on the show. Please try to keep the voicemail comments as brief as possible.

Interview: Jason Carter ("Marcus Cole")

Tim, Summer, and Jeffrey jump into an energetic and entertaining chat with Jason Carter, who brought an extra measure of heart and soul to Babylon 5 with his portrayal of Marcus Cole, the determined but haunted Ranger. Jason reminisces about how he got to the show, and recounts memories of his good friend, the late Richard Biggs.

Jason's chat was too good to bring to an end. We'll have part two of that for you next week, but there were some interesting tidbits in the second part that couldn't wait until then.

Jason will be teaching two acting workshops in June, "Fundamentals of Acting" at FanOdyssey on June 9 in Los Angeles, and a Freeplay Acting class at the Synergy Ensemble Theatre Company on June 24, in Islip, NY.

L to R: Richard Biggs, Jeffrey Willerth, Ambr of 2BeContinued Con, Jason Carter

Next, Tim and Summer discuss "Believers", the episode that fully introduces us to Dr Stephen Franklin. It serves as a showcase for Dr Franklin's passions and convictions, and moves him closer to his eventual status as an integral part of the command staff.

Your feedback does matter, and is welcome! You can call us at 206-338-2259, or email us and tell us what you think... and likely hear it played or read on the show.

Interview: Bruce Boxleitner ("Captain John Sheridan")

Bruce Boxleitner joins us this week to talk about how it was for him to step into a major role in an already established series, plus his recollections of the series, and of dear friends now passed on.

He invokes many fond memories of just a few of the things that made John Sheridan and Babylon 5 special for us all.

Next, after a tangent into formulaic Vorlon spinoff possibilities, Tim, Summer and Jeff talk about "Soul Hunter". Jeff raises concerns as to why there was no Vorlon in this episode.

Since every other alien race seemed to be as terrified of the soul hunters as they were of the Vorlons, it raises a question as to why we didn't get a Vorlon perspective on what the soul hunters do. And possibly what would happen in a Celebrity Deathmatch.

Don't forget to send us feedback! You can call us at 206-338-2259 and tell us what you think... and likely hear it played on the show.
