I read this yesterday via a Slashdot story… and wanted to post it to the B5 podcast forums, but registration takes a while… oh well :(

There’s also a post from jms to rasftb5.mod about future plans – basically: The third story was to include Garibaldi, but when the first two (Sheridan/Lochley & Galen) got too big, Garibaldi’s story was pushed back to the second release, and it also contains some fairly intensive CGI :)

Love the podcast, especially your cast & crew interviews! I’d love to hear interviews with writers… but I guess with B5, jms wrote 90-something percent of the episodes, so that makes it a little more difficult!

Perhaps some more of the regular directors then?

    Hell yeah!

Finally, the quantum probability waves of speculation collapse.

  4. Does this mean my Finite Improbability Device actually worked?!?!?!?!? :-D

  5. tim says:

No, but you have a really hot cup of tea to drink.

“It also spurred the creation of five feature length movies based on the series including The Gathering,…”

Strange?!? I thought The Gathering spurred the creation of the series, which then spurred the creation of the other 4 movies. :)

Excellent news about Galen. I have just recently finished reading the Technomage trilogy and would love to see more Galen.

    Yay! New B5! New B5!

    -insert killer guitar fretwork-

Now, will JMS introduce each episode a la Rod Serling or Alfred Hitchcock, or that guy from Mouseterpiece Theatre from the Disney Channel?

  9. Dave says:

So will JMS introduce each episode a la Rod Serling and Alfred Hitchcock?

  10. tim says:

Grenge, during our most recent recording session (which will come out after Thanksgiving Day, U.S.) we commented on the line “award-winning top-rated show”. Award-winning is on record; two Hugos and an Emmy. But top-rated? We puzzled over THAT one…

  11. JimS says:

    All right! New B5!

pet peeve: I really hate the use of the word “content” in this context… like they’re making cheese bits or something.

  12. tim says:

JIMS, you have to remember the industry mindset – it’s all about moving boxes. If you actually get good, thought-provoking stories and characters, hey, that’s a bonus!
