Picked mine up from Best Buy during lunch…..very cool comic inside. It’s an AWSOME memorial for Andrea Katsulas and Richard Biggs. Very fitting.
Drat, I want a copy of the comic, but I already have my Lost Tales DVD coming in the mail from Amazon. What’s a Lurker to do?
I know that myself and many loyal, long-term fans of Babylon 5 pre-ordered, well in advance, the DVD of “The Lost Tales”. We thought we were doing the “cause” a favor.
Then, at the last minute, reports come out of this bounus comic available only to some comic con attendees and customers who purchase the DVD at the store “Best Buy”.
This seems a strange way of “thanking” your long-term fans who were then eager to support this project with early preorders.
Knowning now that we robbed ourselves of a good last-minute in-store deal, I can say with confidence that I shall become a smarter shopper and will never again preorder any Babylon 5 material.
It just made some of us feel like chumps for being too eager to support the project, and not dollar-wise enough to wait for possible last-minute deals. Now that the possibility that an entire available product might be missed out by preordering, I certainly won’t ever preorder B5 again. If Warner Brother’s attitude is “let the buyer beware” then I shall be.
I purchased the Lost Tales DVD at a Best Buy near St. Louis and there was no mini-comic to be found anywhere on it or in it, or on/in any of the other copies they had on the shelf.
Feh!
In a related story, I went to Wal-Mart first to get it, and they didn’t even stock it on the shelves! Only available “online.” Not a good sign.
