I think I’m just a little odd. I’ve always liked the blue EarthForce uniforms better. The black ones had a certain lack of symmetry I found off-putting. I’m probably the only one who thinks this.
I’ve actually never heard that before, so there’s a chance that you may be among a select group of 5-10 B5 fans worldwide
Considering that the black uniform is one of my favorite scifi military uniforms of all time, that’s a new one to me. I always thought the blue ones seemed stodgy… kinda old-fashioned for the times (like they hadn’t changed in 100 years or something).
I second Katies opinion. I always thought the black uniforms looked cheap and ugly!
I don’t suppose a hardcover omnibus copy of the Psi-Corps Trilogy would be in that stack of books looking for new homes?
I owned a copy once. I loaned it to my grandparents (yes, they not only are B5 fans, they were before I was) when they lvied in their apartment which they got evicted from, and moved into a trailer. Since they didn’t have room for everything, severla boxes went into Public Storage, including a box that had my Psi-Corp trilogy hardcover in it. Then, they fell behind on the bill, and everything in that storage locker became property of Public Storage, including my Psi-Corp Trilogy hardcover.
I didn’t know there was a hardcover collected version. You wouldn’t happen to remember who the publisher on that was, would you?
Science Fiction Book Club is the only one I know that makes hardcover editions from books that weren’t initially released in hardcover, but I don’t recall them doing media tie-ins before. Then again, it’s been a *long* while since I’ve looked at any of their stuff (as in, more than a decade).
And I know how you feel. I lost 2 boxes of books in a move, back in 1989 or 90, and I have yet to have recovered them all. Probably not a bad thing, but I have replaced the ones that stood out in my memory… and the rest of that story’s probably better served as Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas discussion.

Wikipedia has a nice list of Babylon 5 books but doesn’t mention the interesting books that you mention in Episode #93:
(1) season by season guides
(2) the dining guide
(3) Babylon 5 security manual by Michael Garibaldi
(4) A to Z guide to Babylon 5 by David Bassum (two versions) Titan books
It would be nice to be able to at least have the information about these books available and this page (or one of your own).

Looks like I’m going to have to figure out how to make a close-to-definitive list of B5 books as a reference. I don’t have Wikipedia edit abilities, and I really would like to beef up the list here a little more.
It boggles me that the Season Guides aren’t listed there… those were pretty commonly found for about a year and a half, when they first came out. The Dining Guide and the UK version of the A to Z guide make sense, since those were UK only releases. And the Volume 1 of the B5 Magazine (UK only) was also hard to find, but a diligent geek with decent disposable income could find them (Intergalactic Trading in Florida is always a wonderful source for old mags)
Can’t do much about the comic books, as I never had any of them (borrowed from others to read, but never personally obtained).
I wonder if it’s time to start up that Wiki here… the idea that’s been buzzing in the back of my head since we started this thing.
