Welcome to Show #169!

Tim relates some confirmation from the JMS newsgroup about the state of the original CGI source files and whether or not they could be re-rendered for a future high definition edition of B5, and the Great Maker thinks that in the end, it would be more cost-effective to redo all of the CGI segments from scratch in hi-def.

Summer would buy high definition remastered sets of Babylon 5, because the cases of the sets she currently owns are falling completely apart.

Deep Geeking: Tim and Summer talk about “A Tragedy of Telepaths”, discussing the inevitable turn of events around the telepath situation towards the tragic ending that most around Sheridan feared would come to pass, especially once Bester released the hounds.

Feedback: Emails this time around: Vlad mentions how Avatar: The Last Airbender used the lines “Who are you, and what do you want”; Mike Tuck throws out more info on Lt Corwin’s rank, but the questions is more around what his role is, because we never see him in a command situation in place of Lochley as we saw with Ivanova taking command in Sheridan’s stead; Valerie was disappointed by the joking reparté about West Virginia Day; David wonders about atheism in B5 and in scifi in general, and wants to know our thoughts on free thinkers, secular humanism, atheism, agnosticism, and the many levels of religion found in all communities of the world.
