“Babylon 5” Now Airing on Tubi

“Babylon 5” Now Airing on Tubi

February 15, 2023 by Summer Brooks 2 Comments

Our favorite show left HBO Max around the end of January, and has reappeared on the free streaming service Tubi.

There has been discussion on what resolution/version is airing on Tubi, because it seems to me to be a lower resolution than what I had been watching on HBO Max, closer to what is on the original DVD sets.

Other fans and podcasters are saying that I’m imagining there’s a difference, but what I’m seeing on Tubi seems to be grainier than what had been available on HBO Max the past 2 years.

I will play with my TV settings or Tubi settings to see if there’s any difference, but other shows I’m watching on other streaming platforms, including live channels & sports, seem to be just fine.

The Roku Channel currently has The Gathering (the B5 pilot) and all 5 seasons of the show as well. The Gathering is listed in “Season 1993”. Like Tubi, The Roku Channel is ad-supported. https://therokuchannel.roku.com/details/382d11be2c7e519b8105d835d3ab6b68/babylon-5
