Welcome to Show #296!
Tim and Summer’s enjoyment of “The Road Home” extends to the soundtrack, and we talk with the composers Kristopher Carter, Lolita Ritmanis, and Michael McCuistion about creating that sound.
We chat about what went into composing the new movie’s sound while still evoking the feelings of the original soundtrack, and creating new themes for different scenes and characters in the movie. They also talk about their individual and collaborative composition workflows, which composers have inspired them over the years, and more.
We also talk about their work on other soundtracks, and they tease a project soon to come (updated: it’s the Batman Beyond Vol 2 soundtrack, available Sep 20).
