Welcome to Show #18!
Interview: Jason Carter (”Marcus Cole”)
Tim and Summer continue the extended edition of the chat with Jason Carter. Here in part two, Jason talks about being a convention whore, his time at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, the acting workshops he runs in various parts of the country, and The Pirates of Penzance.
And just another reminder: Jason will be teaching two acting workshops in June, “Fundamentals of Acting” at FanOdyssey on June 9 in Los Angeles, and a Freeplay Acting class at the Synergy Ensemble Theatre Company on June 24, in Islip, NY.
Next, Tim, Summer and Jeffrey dive into listener feedback: Andrew comments on “Deathwalker”, and Chaz compares the theme in “Deathwalker” to “Quality of Mercy” via email. John in KC shares an anecdote about Walter Koenig, and John from Dispatches from Tuzenor with comments on “Deathwalker” via voicemail.
Episode discussion will continue next week with “Survivors”.

Welcome to Show #17!
Interview: Jason Carter (”Marcus Cole”)
Tim, Summer, and Jeff jump into an energetic and entertaining chat with Jason Carter, who brought an extra measure of heart and soul to Babylon 5 with his portrayal of Marcus Cole, the determined but haunted Ranger. Jason reminisces about how he got to the show, and recounts memories of his good friend, the late Richard Biggs.
Jason’s chat was too good to bring to an end. We’ll have part two of that for you next week, but there were some interesting tidbits in the second part that couldn’t wait until then.
Jason will be teaching two acting workshops in June, “Fundamentals of Acting” at FanOdyssey on June 9 in Los Angeles, and a Freeplay Acting class at the Synergy Ensemble Theatre Company on June 24, in Islip, NY.

L to R: Richard Biggs, Jeffrey Willerth, Ambr of 2BeContinued Con, Jason Carter
Next, Tim and Summer discuss “Believers”, the episode that fully introduces us to Dr Stephen Franklin. It serves as a showcase for Dr Franklin’s passions and convictions, and moves him closer to his eventual status as an integral part of the command staff.
Your feedback does matter, and is welcome! You can call us at 206-338-2259, or email us and tell us what you think… and likely hear it played or read on the show.

First, here are some links to the stories about the Warner Bros / BitTorrent deal we talked about in Show #16:
Slice of SciFi: WB and BitTorrent say “I do”
Forbes: Parsons’ Warner Bros. To Sell Content Via BitTorrent
E! Online: Warner Bros. Down with Downloading
SF Chronicle: BitTorrent goes legal in Warner film deal
Second, I just found a site that archived B5 and Crusade interviews and chat transcripts, and added it to the B5 Links page. Check out Observation Dome when you get a chance.
Welcome to Show #16!
Interview: Skip Robinson (Editor)

R: Skip Robinson with director Tony Dow
Tim, Summer, and Jeff talk with Skip Robinson, editor extraordinaire. Skip tells us about his time on Babylon 5, and details his work in putting together the pieces that brought us the cinematic gems we viewed during the series, Crusade and the movies.
Next, Tim and Summer discuss the recent good news about Warner Bros making some of their content available for download via BitTorrent, legally. Yes, Babylon 5 is one of the shows being made available.
No word as yet whether or not the entire library will be available at once, or if it’ll be released piecemeal, similar to what AOL’s In2TV is doing. We also don’t know what video quality will be available, or if there’ll be different versions for users to choose to download.
Episode discussion will continue next week with “Believers”.
Voicemail: messages from Michael about the episodic preview trailers, John asking which Season opening theme we liked the best and spiritual aspects of B5, and Brian from Mongoose on the licensing of B5.
Email feedback: Andy comments on Kosh being poisoned, Michael T. wants to know more about Jeffrey’s acting chops while wearing the oversized lampshade, and Mike enjoys the work we’re doing with the podcast.

Welcome to Show #15!
Interview: Walter Koenig (”Alfred Bester”)

Tim, Summer, and Jeff talk with Walter Koenig about his time on Babylon 5 and his experiences interacting with the various cast members. Walter recounts when he first joined B5, and how not being cast for “The Sky Full of Stars” led to his having a larger role in the series, and his tendency to play practical jokes no matter what set he’s working on.
Next, Tim and Summer discuss “Deathwalker”. This is the first episode where we see Kosh interacting with members of the League of Non-Aligned Worlds. We also find out a little more how Earth and the League first began working together, and a twist in how the Vorlons really feel about telepaths.
Voicemail: messages from Brandon, Brian, and Arthur about how much they enjoy the show, and some opinions on how we handle the guest appearances.
Your feedback does matter, and is welcome! You can call us at 206-338-2259 and tell us what you think… and likely hear it played or read on the show.

Welcome to Show #14!

Tim, Summer, and Jeff talk with Scott Devine of New Wave Entertainment, the driving force behind producing the Babylon 5 family of DVDs. Scott talks to us about the work involved in tracking down the clips to provide the bonus materials, directing the commentary tracks, and digging up the other extras for the box sets we’ve all come to know and love. Anyone seen an issue of “Fantazone” on eBay recently? Scott’s still looking for a copy.
Next, Mur Lafferty returns to join Tim and Summer in chatting about “And the Sky Full of Stars”. This is episode that shows us how widespread the opposing conspiracies surrounding Sinclair’s missing 24 hours after the Battle of the Line. We see how fear of alien influence has driven some factions in Earth Gov to believe that Sinclair and others colluded with the Minbari and other races to undermine humanity, and that the Minbari have a deep fear of anyone at all uncovering the secret buried in Sinclair’s mind.
