Welcome to Show #245!

We celebrate the new Babylon Park website, as well as the expanded materials available there, and you can follow them on Twitter, @babylonpark. Shiny.

Bret strongly recommends following @patriciatallman, merely for the hilarious entertainment value, Tim reads us a status update on various JMS writing projects.

Listener Feedback: The Master of Steel in Las Vegas has questions for us on various aspects of the B5 universe, and even though we answered similar questions years ago, of course we will rehash them again! Tab A into Slot A, etc.

Jason from Murfreesboro points out examples of EA ships that are not named after either the Greek or Roman pantheon of gods, and goes searching for more; Jason comes back to issue a curse on Tim for mentioning the Bieber and we really have no idea why; Jason asks about the currency faux pas in “The Long Road”; Jim from St Louis talks about getting his young kids hooked on Babylon 5;

Can we come up with enough to bribe Mike to keep the show going another full year?

Tim reads emails: Kate from Chicago is catching up; Will wonders about the obstacles facing anyone wanting to license the B5 novels for ebook publication (WB themselves are the obstacle); Danny relates a long list of the questions JMS fielded during his Twitter press conference… including a theory about where the chip in the triluminary may have come from, and JMS saying that Babylon 5 done fresh now would be very different from what we already have.

We also muse about how we could get more character stories told, especially about Neroon and Number One.

Lurker’s Guide 2.0: Summer is expanding the documentation to be covered at Lurker’s Guide 2.0, the major change being converting the episode guide into a full Wiki with cross-referenced topics, tidbits and everything you’d want in a Wiki. She’s also still searching for pictures of rare collectibles, photos of magazine covers and toys, and all sorts of other B5 goodies that didn’t get included in the original guide during the years after Crusade. Let her know if you want to lend a hand.

More Parody/Filk Songs Wanted: If you know of any more B5-related fan songs out there, definitely let us know, so we can let other B5 fans know where to buy them! And if those CDs are out of print, let’s brainstorm on ways to get those songs back out there for fans!

Babylon 5 Information Gathering: If you know of a dead or abandoned B5 related website that may be in need of a new home, let Summer know! Maybe we can mirror it here or house it on a sister site.

If you can, Please Donate to the show!

    To know what happened to Babylon 4: http://www.amazon.com/Babylon-5-Valens-Name/dp/185286981X/

    There were in fact other alien races fighting alongside the Minbari…

    In Valen’s Name was very good. I think the first issue is both JMS and Peter David (or just JMS) and the Peter David finished it off with the last two episodes.
