Welcome to Show #281!

25 years ago, in January 1994, “Midnight on the Firing Line” initially aired, and that began a journey of fandom that many of us are still on.

13 years ago, in January 2006, Tim Callender and Summer Brooks embarked on their own Babylon 5 journey, starting this podcast to talk about the show that so deeply affected their lives, and to talk to as many of the people who helped make the show the iconic science fiction story that it’s become.

7 years ago, in December 2012, Tim and Summer closed the book on that particular journey, having spent nearly 300 episodes and quite likely well over 500 hours of discussion and more with the many cast, crew, creators and fans on all sorts of topics about and around Babylon 5.

Today, we’re back from beyond the rim, for just a little while.

We hope you enjoy this 25th anniversary journey along with us.

    Hello, Old Friends!
(And all of the BabCast First Ones qualify for that modifier now!)
The moment you gave out the voicemail number, I thought, “Has Gary called it yet?”
Thanks for rendering the question moot. And, nice job, Gary! Setting the bar high, as always.
I’ll have to check if Syria Planum has noticed the new feed yet.

Hopefully there will be enough episodes to make everyone happy, but not overstay the visit (can’t live in that guest room on the far side of the station forever, right?)

We’re going to try to take some questions from Twitter “live” while we record the Feedback episode, so keep your eye out for that!

Discussing the book is a possibility. Tim just got his copy, and while I got my copy a few weeks ago, I haven’t started reading it yet. We’ll get there!

Yes, I hoarded all the chalk the Brakiri left behind the last time.

It’s pretty chalk. All sparkly. Very hard to leave it sit there on the ambassador’s aide’s desk.
