Schedule Change: “Babylon 5” Leaving Comet

Schedule Change: “Babylon 5” Leaving Comet

July 13, 2020 by Summer Brooks 2 Comments

Comet TV has begun it’s final airing of Babylon 5 this time around.

Starting July 13, 2020, the new lineup runs Monday through Friday:
10am: BABYLON 5 (3 episodes)
2pm: THE OUTER LIMITS
4pm: SLIDERS
6pm: QUANTUM LEAP
8pm: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
10pm: STARGATE SG-1 (3 episodes)
1am: BABYLON 5 (3 episodes)

and once the 10am block reaches “Sleeping in Light”, that will be that we’ll see for now.

And while we’ve always been here, trust that we will meet again in the place where no shadows fall.

Or maybe on HBO Max.

Sad to see this end. Babylon5 has been a great comfort to me with my illness. I ccnt stand the revamped Battlestar galactica and not too thrilled with sliders. Csnt do HBO whatever. I c add n only hope that comet will come to its senses and bring it back.

Thanks for expressing most of my sentiments. I haven’t seen a series come back on Comet once it leaves the programming lineup. Looks like I’ll have to spend $20 on DVD player #3.
      Sigh …
Thank-you, Comet for 2.4 glorious years of awesome sci-fi. Once I explain a couple of realities that we live in nut take for granted, people come to understand & appreciate a good video series. I don’t watch tv very much so when something that’s from the 20th century that’s still fresh & clean appears, I get happy.
Happiness left a couple weeks ago.
I’m hoping Babylon 5 is the series that Comet does bring back in a year or so. Most of their programming currently is stale.
Leaves me with my massive hard sf & “golden age” writers to read now.
I’ve pretty much run through all of sci-fi that avoids any Tolkien-like fantasy so I might run through what’s left of pre-80’s sf in print. Contemporary, noir, steampunk, & anything fantasy are all non-starters for me. I like McDevitt & Flynn but their canons aren’t all that big yet. Tv sci-fi has been horrendous with few exceptions.
      Sigh …
