Thank you for explaining when in the show’s production timeline this movie came out, and the purpose for it. As I’ve said previously, I only discovered the show about a year and a half ago. (Recently completed a re-watch in order to keep up with your Deep Geeking.) I got different advice from friends as to when it was best to watch this movie. I think I did end up watching it after S4. At that point, I had gone through the series way too fast and it left me confused as to where events all fit in. Now that you explained in full the business with ‘Sleeping In Light’ being filmed before they S5 was confirmed, I’ve got a better handle on things.

And thanks for mentioning the retcon! (Especially the parts with everyone meeting each other.) I found myself confused at various parts and figured it was just me.

I remember being quite annoyed by some of the retcons and inconsistencies and also the reuse of material from other episodes.

I actually tried to watch the live feed, and let me tell you – that was the most boring 15 minutes of my life. Maybe you guys can spice it up some – i don’t know – perhaps rent a clown to dance around behind Jeffrey – perhaps juggle some starfuries or hide Jeffrey’s beer?

Either way, thanks for the good work guys! I’m still listening, just probably not watching! Great show none-the-less!

  4. Tom St. Remy says:

In the “In The Beginning” book, Londo gets his information about the Minbari side of the war from Delenn, who was captured trying to help her son, David. Londo would let him go on condition she reveal all her secrets about that war. So all the juicy details are fresh in his mind when the kids show up.
