Welcome to Show #293!
Discussion: JMS called. We answered. The hashtag that surpassed The Queen’s Funeral on Twitter for a few hours on Sep 20. Of course we had to talk about it. So we answered the call, and hopped in a conference call to discuss things.
The fate of the #Babylon5 pilot may be decided end of this month. Though much of @TheCW was bought by @NXSTMediaGroup the decision also rests heavily with @WarnerbrosTV. If fans want to show their support for B5 & let them know you want this to happen, now is the time #B5onCWin23 pic.twitter.com/eDbz4sKtf5

Tim & I join forces with Laura & Xhafer from the “Who Are You?” Babylon 5 Watchcast, Ryan from the Yum Yum Podcast, Brent & Jeff from Babylon 5 For the First Time, Mike from Grey Sector Pod, and Scott, Emily and Jessi from the Grey 17 Babylon 5 podcast, and we cover a lot of past and future territory.
Because most of these new B5 podcasters have never seen the show and are avoiding spoilers, the first half of the discussion is spoiler-free, then we kick the new kids out and dive head first into discussions that may dart into story spoiler territory.
As a group, we all surely do love talking about this show.

Just at the beginning of this podcast, I had no idea there is so many other ones. Besides Babylon Podcast I have only listened to The Babylon Project Podcast and Nitpicking: Babylon 5, but the latter one is kind of controversial.
Finally listened to this last night. Unfortunately with the more recent changes after the takeover at CW, the reboot is looking less likely.
From a recent article

“new regime’s drive for cheaper, broader programming with an emphasis on reality” does not bode well.
Still, something may happen and there is the mystery completed project that JMS will announce in San Diego next year.
I’m glad one of them mentioned The Audio Guide to B5 which was a fun podcast going through the series with non-spoiler and spoiler sections.

Contrary to what one person said, they did have a new watcher participating in the podcast. They just didn’t have him for every podcast.
Overall, it was quite fun and it was great hearing Summer and Tim again.
I honestly can’t wait until we do it again!
We few, We Happy Few, we band of podcasters
