Alex Zahara joins us to talk about portraying Dulann in LEGEND OF THE RANGERS, and his experience working on the prospective pilot movie and working with that cast, believing they were setting up for a new spinoff series, prepared to start a new long form story in the Babylon 5 universe.
He talks about the makeup process for Dulann and the other non-human characters on the cast, and how his love of science fiction gave him an extra level of excitement playing many of the roles he landed for Stargate, Jeremiah and more. Alex is also a big fan of classic horror and classic monster movies more than the current trends in horror movies, and also goes into his brushes with the supernatural and how much fun he has working on projects involving the paranormal and supernatural.
This conversation covers a lot of ground, especially around the Hollywood machine, and different impressions about automation and AI, and is a lot of fun the entire way. And several movies mentioned are Real Artists (short film), plus the industry documentaries Dream on, Silly Dreamer, and Showrunners might be entertaining for fans of how Hollywood works.
