Welcome to Show #174!

Tim, Summer and Jeffrey welcome Gary from Jacksonville on to give us his report on the Babylon 5 guests and panels featured at Dragon*Con 2009.

Dragon*Con Report: Gary goes into detail on the handful of B5 panels, and some of the scheduling challenges introduced by the powerhouse event featuring William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy; and makes all fans jealous with anecdotes of his interactions with the series attendees Bruce Boxleitner, Tracy Scoggins, Claudia Christian, Peter Jurasik, Stephen Furst, and Julie Caitlin Brown.

Friday Panel: Babylon 5 Guests:
Question and answer session with some of our favorite cast members from the Emmy award winning television show Babylon 5. P. Jurasik, C. Christian,B. Boxleitner, T. Scoggins; Moderator L. Martindale; (Fri 10:00 am Cent II-III [Hyatt] rescheduled due to Shatner/Nimoy); 4:00pm, Regency VI-VII [Hyatt]

Saturday Panel: All Alone in the Night-B5 Guests
Question and answer session with some of our favorite cast members from the Emmy award winning television show Babylon 5. S. Furst, P. Jurasik, C. Christian, T. Scoggins, B. Boxleitner; Moderator L. Martindale Sat 1:00 pm; Cent II-III [Hyatt]

Sunday Panel: Cast of Babylon 5 Q & A
Q & A with some of our favorite cast members from the Emmy award winning television show Babylon 5. S. Furst, J. Brown, P. Jurasik, C. Christian, T. Scoggins, Julie Caitlin Brown [B. Boxleitner(No Show)]; Sun 10:00 am; Regency VI-VII [Hyatt]

Feedback: We run the risk a temporal rift by having Gary on the show while potentially addressing voicemails that Gary sent in. Tim says he was very careful not to cross any streams, though…

Neil comments on the Season 5 Telepath arc having the same tragic spiral as the Centauri arc; Frank from WV comments on G’kar’s reluctance to hang out in Brakiri space during “Day of the Dead”; Gabe from Greenville adds a different perspective to why Morden might have appeared to Lennier… to ask that question!

I’m waiting for Gary to send it to me to post here, instead of making available to only those people who have Facebook accounts and keeping it hidden and locked away from the rest of us 😉

And now, for the appropriate to the show comment (embarrassed chuckle): this was a very funny show, guys! And very informative for those of us who won’t ever have a chance to come to such gatherings. Thank you all very much for the reportage!

I wish I had words to say how truly amazing it was to meet them. If you ever get a chance to meet these people they are great.

Not likely, minding where on the glob I am located and my prospects of ever ‘crossing the pond’, as they say in the old world, so I’ll have to do with living vicariously through you, Gary. For which, many thanks. 😀
