Welcome to Show #290!
Feedback: The last, best hope, for Feedbackapalooza, in this, the Third Age of Mankind. Gary has always been here. More than once. A lot more.
Thank you, everyone, for allowing our love of Babylon 5 to help fuel your own love for the show. We are grateful our efforts to explore a show we love also entertained you. Your voices and support over the years have meant a lot to us, and that you still want to hear us keep talking about everything B5, and not just Day of the Dead, warms our hearts.
Post production corrections and additions:
* Tim was correct, Walter Koenig played Alfred Bester in 12 episodes, 4 times in Season 4.
* Sheridan’s old teacher was Captain Edward MacDougan, played by Richard Gant.
* Mack and Bo were also awesome one-shot guests

Thanks so much for coming back from the rim, even if only for a little while. It was great to catch up with Summer, Tim, and get some great new interviews! If you ever need me, call and I will be there.
Gary is right, we’ll be waiting at Sigma 957.
It was great fun to hear the new episodes and I’ll miss you guys, again.
Now to the episode! One of the first questions you discuss is the “what if” story ideas. One of the fun things with the B5 collectible card game is that you can play out them. There even is a G’kar character, designed with the idea in mind that he had given an other answer to Morden and had gotten Shadow allies.
And to round of, I got to agree with everything Jeff said in his voice mail. It is a great job you have done guys!
My write-up of the JMS appearance at Politics and Prose is on page 3 of the 2019 Book Tour thread,
https://forums.jmsnews.com/forum/discussion/general-discussions/150390-jms-book-tour-con-appearances-2019/page3
There are photos there from me and photos and write-ups throughout from other folk.
Thanks so much you guys for coming back, what a treat. I’m a card carrying member of the League of Unaligned Knitters (though not the person you previously spoke with), we’re still here and we’re still listening! Love you guys!
Ha ha! It was great to hear Gary’s voice again!
On the dated special effects: My focus is always on the story & characters. If those two things are strong, I can overlook just about anything. Snazzy effects without good storytelling/intriguing characters bore me to death.
Aw, I’d been avoiding listening to the last show. Again, thank you for doing this. I love you crazy people!
ALL RIGHT, people! I have checked my stash and I have “The Gathering”, “In the Beginning”, and Seasons 1-2 on DVD. For the rest, I just signed up for a 30 day trial of Amazon Prime.
I had no intention of doing a rewatch right now. I’ve got a zillion Real Life things going on that are stressing me out big time. But y’all have pushed me into it. Wish me luck!
If you have questions, you know where we are!
Yes, we really have always been here… ๐
Mo, I understand about the godzillion Real Life Things…and yet, I’m always going back to revisit a B5 episode. It’s just too good to not watch!
Thanks for coming back even if only for a while like Gary said. Good to hear familiar voices and the excuse to binge on the show. ๐
SO I just discovered your show. Perfect timing. Listened to the final show first (so very out of context), and decided to download the whole thing, and will be wading through the other episodes chronologically. Eventually.
I suspect that what will happen is that when Jason Davis’ Preservation Project book comes out, I’ll do a re-watch while re-reading the script books with all of JMS’ commentary, following along with the Preservation Project book and listening to the podcast. Because anything truly worth doing is worth overdoing in a big way.
