Talking with Susie on How To Grow Your Geek

Talking with Susie on How To Grow Your Geek

June 25, 2009 by Tim

In all the excitement of our interview with JMS, I realized I hadn’t posted this:

Susie the Southern Geek invited me to appear on her wonderful podcast, How To Grow Your Geek. Longtime listeners of the Babcast will recall that Susie lent her voice to the All-Girls’ Geekfest last year.

We talked about a range of topics, from the Babcast to Doctor Who to Mythbusters to the form and content of knock-knock jokes. And, of course, our kids. Thanks, Susie, for the great conversation!

If you have ever tried to convince your spouse that Delenn would make a great name for your baby girl, you definitely need to listen to How To Grow Your Geek.

I finished listening to it last night. You did a great job. I enjoyed your game discussion, as well as your reflections on the Babylon Podcast.

Just started listening to it. The list of great interviews sounds like a good starting point for interviews to pull out quotes for the Season 5 opener.

Tim, when you played Darth Vader against your son’s Luke Skywalker, did you say the line?

“Go mow the lawn”? Is that the line you refer to?

I think he meant “Go clean your room”.

No, “Luke, I am your father”

Neil, I did… sort of. I used the line as it appeared in “Strange Brew” –

Luke, I am your father. Give in to the Dark Side, you knob.
